In the first quarter of 2024, the Film & Television category on the Android platform saw varied performance among its top applications in the United States. Sensor Tower data offers a detailed look at the trends for these popular apps.

Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies from WarnerMedia Global Digital Services, LLC, released on February 21, 2024, reported a fluctuating revenue trend with a high of $3.9M in the last week of March. Downloads peaked at 240K towards the end of February, while weekly active users reached nearly 3M in the same period.

Tubi: Free Movies & Live TV, despite having no revenue, maintained consistent download numbers with a high of 202K in mid-January. Weekly active users for Tubi showed a slight decline from 1.4M in the beginning of January to around 1.3M by the end of March.

Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies, under Peacock TV LLC, saw its revenue start strong at $2.7M in early January before settling to $1.9M by late March. The app's downloads surged to over 522K in the second week of January, and the active user count remained above 1.7M throughout the quarter.

Netflix, a long-standing player from Netflix, Inc., did not report any revenue. However, it showed a consistent download rate with a spike to 159K in late February. Weekly active users for Netflix remained robust, hovering around 10M throughout the quarter.

Lastly, Paramount+ from CBS Interactive, Inc., exhibited an upward revenue trend, achieving a peak of $1.6M in late January. Downloads for Paramount+ saw a dramatic increase to 391K in the first week of February, while weekly active users showed a notable peak of 939K in the same week.
